Beingaware of the importance of communication skills for EFL learners, EFL teachers need to teach languagelearners how to speak the target language with some fluency. However, it is a considerable fact that speakingdoes not of itself constitute communication unless what is being said is comprehended adequately by anotherperson. With this in mind, a considerable number of researchers have stated that listening is an essentialmeans of communication, and that it is an integral part of the process of hearing, understanding,remembering, interpreting, evaluating, and responding.
